Welcome to the Texas High School Rodeo Association—Region IX website.
Text Box: THSRA is an organization for high school students in 9th—12th grade. The events offered here give rodeo contestants a wide range of options. Cowgirls can compete in barrel racing, breakaway roping, cutting and team roping while Cowboys can compete in bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, cutting and team roping. The season starts with a Get Acquainted Rodeo set for August 30, 2008 in Huntsville and ends with a Final Rodeo set for March 28, 2008 in Crockett. Event and All Around points are kept throughout the year with awards being given at the Final Rodeo in March. The top 10 in each event will go on to the State Finals in Abilene. We look forward to seeing all the past members of Region IX at the Get Acquainted Rodeo and are eager to see many new faces.
